Belkin Ipad Snap Shield Cover

So I bought a lovely red Apple smart cover for my iPad. Only to fall victim to the trap of leaving the lovely metal backside of my Ipad open to abuse from the elements.
As I already had a smart cover (which I found really useful) I didn't want to get a full blown front and back cover.
I scoured the Internet and found a few which looked good, I had no idea if they were any good based on a few images etc...
I stumbled onto the Belkin snap on Shield cover whilst out shopping one day. It comes in a few different shades and felt pretty nice to the touch, walked away with it and it's been on the back of my Ipad for about 4 months now.

Fitting and use

It fitted no problems, push it on and make sure it snaps on at each corner simples!.
I opted for the smokey translucent grey one.
Nice to hold and looks pretty cool. Doesn't hinder the smart cover at all. Also maintains the access points for the dock, camera, speaker and switched on the side.
It also fits very tightly so it doesn't increase the size of the Ipad much at all, something a lot of other covers didn't do.

Durability

I've had this so far on my Ipad about 4 months. I'm normally very careful with it so it's more to prevent scrapes and scratches as opposed to any accidental drops off a cliff.
It's held up fairly well some damage pictures below....

As you can see the edges have shattered and chunks have sheared off. Surprisingly this hasn't impacted the fit of the cover. It's never separated at all so far ( I'm not sure if I can even pull it apart!). Although the damage looks bad that the cover held up and prevented any damage to my iPad, from some fairly high drops. The edges seem to be like buttered toast the Ipad will always impact something corner edge first. It's sustained these impacts from dropping off a table on to a hard pavement and from being bundled into a rucksack and not being treat kindly.

Summary

In summary I'd recommend this cover to anyone with an iPad, it's definitely saved mine from some "little accidents", my only fault with it is it seems too brittle. maybe a softer rubber cover would still be intact?.
For now it's done a fine job and will keep on doing it till I need a replacement!
